Where to Repair Your iPhone With Apple Stores Closed Due to COVID-19?

On March 13, 2020, Apple announced they would be closing their retail stores due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Originally, they stated they would be open again by March 27th, but they later released a statement saying that their Apple stores would remain closed until further notice. If you were one of the unlucky people who dropped your phone off for service just before the closing announcement, Apple has stated that the repairs will not be conducted until the retail stores reopen, and they will probably need extra time to make repairs since they will be backed up with repair orders.

If you’re lucky enough to still have your phone but now need service, how do you get your iPhone repaired if you can’t drop it off at an Apple store? You can always ship it back to Apple to be fixed, but that process can be very time consuming. In most cases, you won’t have your phone back for at least five to 10 business days. Apple is also still selling phones that can be ordered online and will be delivered by mail. There will still be a waiting period before you’ll be able to receive and activate your phone, but you’ll probably receive it more quickly than if you send your current phone in for service.

On the other hand, if you don’t want to buy a brand-new phone just because your current iPhone needs a repair, don’t despair. There are plenty of options for cell phone repair in Virginia Beach that can handle the job. They have highly trained technicians that can run diagnostics on your phone to quickly identify the problem, and they have the skills and replacement parts to get your phone back in working order—usually with same-day service.

Another great thing about independent repair facilities is that they offer very competitive pricing on all repairs. Even if Apple stores were open right now, if your warranty has expired, you’d probably end up paying a pretty penny for service. Some independent shops offer free diagnostics and can make repairs for even less than what you’d probably pay at an Apple store, even with your warranty intact.

Independent shops are also conveniently located, so you won’t need to make an appointment, then drive to an Apple store just to drop your phone off and do the same thing all over again when the repair is done. In addition, independent shops can take care of any problem from screen or battery replacements to delicate electronic work if there is a problem with your buttons, ports, or speakers.

So, don’t sweat your iPhone repair while the Apple retail outlets are closed. Find an independent repair shop and you’ll probably be amazed at how quickly and inexpensively it can be to get your phone in prime working order again.
